The Logistics Business Group of the Ministry of Agriculture (Gelma), one of the 11 wholesale retailers that Cuba has, participated in the XXXVII Havana International Fair promoting its services and attracting foreign investors for the eight projects they plan to include in their portfolio of opportunities for 2020.

Leyanis Figueiras Santana, Gelma's international affairs specialist, is satisfied by the contacts and conversations held in those days, as they bring them closer to the needs of the island's farmers and also to other business groups with whom they could collaborate on some projects .
He informed that currently the Group Workshops Company works in the assembly of new agricultural machinery, but with foreign investors, since they do not have their own tools, so they need training in these tasks to then export that services
Another of the projects is linked to an Italian company, which already has a contract with the Livestock Group for the assembly of an industrial plant, for which they propose that Gelma specialists take care of the assembly and maintenance to later perform these tasks in countries of the area where the mentioned entity is inserted, such as Venezuela, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic, said Leyanis.
He announced that another project will be developed by the Information Technology and Communications Agency (EICMA), which will seek to find foreign investors to modernize these branches in the Ministry of Agriculture.
The Gelma guarantees logistics to the agricultural sector, for the benefit of prosperous and sustainable development and food security in the country, with optimal customer service.
Among the specialized services provided are those of workshops, transportation; construction, repair and maintenance of housing and agricultural facilities, clearing and preparation of land, among others.
It has a vast network of points of sale (229 in total) distributed throughout the country, including mountainous regions and difficult to access, and has an experience of about 20 years.
