Havana, Nov 1 (ACN) The presence of the Indian business delegation that is today at the International Fair of Havana (FIVAH 2018) representing sectors of interest to Cuba such as health, agriculture, the food industry and textile, will contribute to broadening and deepening the ties between both nations.
This Thursday, Ileana Núñez, Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, said during the official opening of the pavilion of the Asian country in the Fair that takes place in the Cuban capital until tomorrow, November 2.
The vice-principal noted that there are several potentialities in terms of investments, and that there is a common interest in expanding links, particularly economic and commercial ones.
He assured that a convincing example of this is the recent granting of a new line of credit for the development of photovoltaic solar energy in Cuba.
Núñez recalled that the nation of millennial culture is one of the emerging economies of greatest action in international trade and that stands out for its development in the field of renewable energy, information technology, electronics, the supply of chemicals, medicines, materials pharmaceutical premiums and laboratory utensils.
"India provides Cuban entrepreneurs with numerous business opportunities that will increase bilateral trade," he said.
He also said that the island has a very favorable environment for investment, which is confirmed by the regulatory framework for foreign investment, which enjoys multiple benefits, mainly in the Mariel Special Development Zone.
"That is why I invite Indian businessmen to study the recently launched Portfolio of Opportunities, which contains strategic projects for medium and long-term economic development, and to explore new business opportunities of mutual benefit," he said.
He thanked the support provided by the Indian Embassy in Cuba and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of that country in the organization of the event, and took the opportunity to invite them to the XXXVII edition of FIHAV, to be held next year.
During the occasion, a letter of intent and a confidentiality agreement were signed by Rosa María Ramos, Director of Development and Investments of the Logistics Business Group of the Ministry of Agriculture (Gelma), and Vikas Grover, representative of the company. Indian Escorts.
Subsequently, the vice minister and Madhu Sethi, ambassador of the Asian country in the Greater Antilles, made a tour of the different stands of the pavilion.
