The Day of the Agricultural Worker is celebrated every October 3 in Cuba, in commemoration, this time, of the 48th anniversary of the promulgation of the Second Agrarian Reform Law that arranged the nationalization of the lands to make them available for the production of food for the village.

With the commitment not to allow a single minute to pass in vain during the day, given the current socio-economic situation in Cuba and the world, men and women throughout the island celebrate this day.

The event is an occasion to critically and self-critically analyze the achievements and deficiencies in compliance, in each sector activity and adopt agreements for the coming months. The National Union of the sector will develop meetings with the founders of the organization, retirees and new generations of professionals and workers of the sector in the labor groups by productive and service branch.

On the occasion of the occasion, deserved collective recognition is given to units with relevant results, to the avant-garde workers in the labor collectives, to national Vanguard centers, to retired and to innovative and rationalizing outstanding and certificates are given to the workers and leaders who carry a long and fruitful career in the sector.

Various activities will be carried out in all provinces and it is conducive to stimulate units and workers for their excellent economic and union results, outstanding workers are also honored and the day includes the delivery of distinctions to workers who turn 20 and 25 years of work uninterrupted in the bouquet.

Increasing food production, and decreasing its importation, is a vital and top priority task for the country. In achieving this objective, agricultural workers play an important role, who today celebrates the national act for the date.
